Visits Prior to Taking up Residency at Generals Meadow

We encourage all prospective residents and their relatives or friends to visit Generals Meadow at anytime and as many times as they feel necessary to view our facilities and talk to our residents and staff before taking up residency. Stay for lunch or spend a day with us and get a feel for the home. This also gives us an opportunity to know each other and discuss the care needs of an individual.

Whenever the prospective residents are unable to visit, we can meet them at their home or in the hospital to assess their care needs and to give them reassurance.

Besides understanding the care needs during these visits, residents are also given an information pack about Generals Meadow residential home explaining our facilities, care provision, fees and our contractual terms explaining services included and what extras are charged. These are also discussed with the resident, their relative or friend if required.

Moving into a care home is an important decision of a resident’s life and therefore we want them to feel confident about us and their decision.

For us, we want to ensure that we can meet the care needs of the resident and that he or she will fit in well with other residents of Generals Meadow and their care. With any such visit our friendly and professional staff are here to answer any questions you may have about Generals Meadow and our services.
